Although the Los Angeles Angels are struggling, star Mike Trout is having an outstanding season for the team. Nike is ready to release another signature training shoe for the outfielder that you’re sure to see on his feet when he steps on the turf.
The Nike Zoom Trout 3 arrives in stores on Friday via the brand’s website, nike.com, as well as select Nike retailers.
The shoe employs a visible Zoom Air unit for the first time in Trout’s signature like with Nike, as well as geometric divots on the outsole to keep dirt from clinging.
The first drop of the shoe will come with a gray and volt color palette, with gray in various tones making up the upper. Volt makes up the midsole and outsole, as well as accents on the tongue and surrounding Swoosh branding on the upper.
The turf-ready shoe arrives a week before his cleat, also named the Nike Zoom Trout 3, which features Nike Flywire on its upper, a nine-cleat configuration paired with geometric divots on the outsole, and a visible Zoom Air unit. The cleat arrives in stores July 8.
Through 78 games this season, the 24-year-old native of Vineland, N.J., is batting .319 — up from his career .306 average — with 17 home runs, 53 RBI and a .416 on-base percentage.
