While Kevin Durant visits with different NBA franchises to determine which team he suits up for next season, Nike is releasing colorways of his latest signature shoe early next month that all fans could wear, regardless of team allegiance.
The Nike Zoom KD 9 “White/University Red” iteration — also dubbed “Premiere” — arrives on Friday, and the “Black/White” — also referred to as “Mic Drop” — drops on Saturday. Both shoes will be available via SNKRS and select Nike retailers, and retail in men’s sizes for $150, with grade school sizes priced at $140.
The “Premiere” edition of the shoe features a patriotic color palette, with white making up most of the upper, the midsole and outsole. The upper boasts red Swoosh branding and red atop the tongue, with blue on its eyelets, heel tab and KD heel branding.
The “Mic Drop” upper features a split between white and black, with white taking up the front of the shoe to the mid-foot point, with black making up the rest. The shoe is completed with a black midsole and outsole.
The shoe boasts lightweight and strong Flyknit on the upper in a honeycomb pattern, and a visible heel-to-toe Zoom Air unit filled with fibers that compress with every step and spring back.
