Nike Rookie Derrick Henry Selected By Tennessee Titans In NFL Draft

At 6-foot-3 and nearly 250 pounds, University of Alabama running back Derrick Henry was always considered a titan. Now it’s official.

The Heisman Trophy winner was selected by the Tennessee Titans on Friday during the second round of the NFL Draft.

Taking to Twitter, Henry expressed his gratitude, writing, “‪#TitanUp‪ Jeremiah 29:11, God Bless,” and earlier he praised his sponsor Nike.

“Excited to be a part of the ‪@usnikefootball family!” he tweeted when the NFL Draft kicked off Thursday.

Henry was selected as the 45th pick of the 2016 NFL freshman class.

Nike celebrated the rising sports star earlier in April when the brand welcomed him to its 2016 rookie ambassadors.

“Henry carries a big presence in the backfield and pummels defenders with his strength,” the sportswear brand said in an announcement.
