The “Light Bone” iteration of the Nike Air TR. V. Cruz arrives in select Nike stores and via the SNKRS app on Friday and will retail for $140. The look will be available on the app starting at 10 a.m. ET.
The latest edition of the shoe features a light bone upper that is executed in full suede and leather. The upper also boasts white highlights, including a profound eyelet — emblazoned with the word Cruz — approaching the shoe’s collar. The silhouette is completed with a white midsole and outsole.
The New York Giants receiver first wore the upcoming iteration in October at the Foot Locker “On Our Feet” gala, where the Super Bowl champion told Footwear News how he prefers to style sneakers with a suit or tuxedo.
“For me, it’s got to be the right shoe. It’s got to be a specific height — preferably a low-top because the slacks come down, and it’s all about the tailoring,” he said. “You’ve got to let your tailor know you’re wearing those pants with a specific sneaker and tailor the pant a certain way so it’s streamlined and it looks good and not all bunched up at the bottom. Tonight I’m wearing the light gray [Nike] Air Trainer Cruz; this colorway comes out in December. I love this shoe mainly because it’s my shoe. I was a part of the design process, but I feel like it’s a dress-up and dress-down shoe — it covers so many different realms.”
