New Balance Debuts Running Shoes For Disney Marathon Weekend

Walt Disney World is often referred to as “The Happiest Place On Earth,” and now New Balance and Disney are teaming up to make some runners’ feet happy. too.

The 2016 Limited Edition runDisney Collection is making its debut for the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend. The weekend includes the full marathon on Jan. 10, a half marathon on Jan. 9 and other shorter runs, all of which sprint through Disney’s theme parks.

The Dumbo Vazee Pace, Ariel Vazee Pace, the Red Carpet Mickey and Minnie 860v6s are available at the marathon’s expo, which began on Wednesday.

The Dumbo Vazee Pace and Ariel Vazee Pace feature the neutral cushioning of New Balance’s Vazee Pace, with special Disney details throughout the shoes. The Dumbo and Ariel shoes will also be available in kids’ sizes.

The sneakers are available exclusively to participating runners and spectators. To minimize long lines at the expo, there’s an online queue, which allows runners to sign up using their bib numbers. Runners can sign up from Jan. 7-9, starting at 6 a.m. each day. Customers can purchase up to six pairs of shoes.

Spectators can head to the expo for a chance to purchase the shoes, though stock could be limited. Based on availability, the shoes could be sold at future runDisney events this year.

The Dumbo and Ariel shoes are priced at $125, and the Red Carpet Minnie and Mickey shoes are $140. The kids’ pairs are $80.
