Breast Cancer Awareness Month is approaching, and Nike is starting its themed releases early with a shoe dropping this week in support of the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
Nike dressed its Zoom LeBron Soldier 10 in pink for the “Kay Yow” iteration, which arrives in stores on Sept. 15. The shoe will be available on nike.com in men’s sizing for $130. The shoe also comes in a range of kids’ sizes, retailing for $80 to $110.
The shoe uses Nike’s pink blast and vivid pink hues for most of the shoe, with white and black providing enough of a difference from making the shoe’s color palette look monotonous. On the pink upper is black Swoosh branding near the heel on the lateral and medial sides, and NBA star LeBron James’ logo in white and black on the middle of the three straps. The midsole is predominantly white, and the shoe is completed with a pink outsole.
Sticking with the Breast Cancer Awareness Month theme are ribbons featured throughout the shoe, including the sole and tabs on the heels and tongues.
The Nike Zoom LeBron Soldier 10 — which James debuted during the 2016 NBA Finals — features heel and forefoot Zoom Air cushioning units, a three-strap system for a secure fit, a tri-layer foam and textile upper to keep the shoe light and breathable, and a compression inner sleeve for support.
