Of course, Kanye West stepped out in a sample pair of sneakers the day ahead of another hotly anticipated release.
The rapper-designer made an appearance on Friday wearing the unreleased Adidas Yeezy Boosts at the private launch of Rick Owens: Furniture at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Los Angeles.
He teamed the core black/red sneakers with black track pants, a long-sleeved white T-shirt and a hat — which covered his newly dyed blond hair. The shoe features a black Primeknit upper with red “SPLY-350” branding.
Around 11:50 a.m. today, West’s new Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 were listed as “sold out” on the sportswear brand’s website quickly after debuting.
It’s yet another successful drop for West, which comes with excellent timing as he has been making frequent public appearances since stepping out of the spotlight to deal with reported health concerns.
On Dec. 9 he went to an early preview of Owens’ art installation at MOCA and debuted his new blond ‘do. The occasion marked the first time he emerged publicly since he was reportedly hospitalized on Nov. 21, less than 24 hours after canceling the remaining dates of his Saint Pablo Tour. Sources have cited “exhaustion” as the reason for the admission.
The Los Angeles Police Department stated that it responded to a disturbance call at 1:20 p.m. PT at a home in West Hollywood, Calif. A spokesperson said the fire department had responded to “an unspecified medical aid request” with “an adult male, described as medically stable, who was taken to an area hospital for further assessment.”
