Funds2Orgs Shoe-Drive Group Launches Sneakers4Funds

Funds2Orgs, a shoe-drive social enterprise based in Orlando, Fla., has announced its new subsidiary brand, Sneakers4Funds.

Sneakers4Funds targets schools, PTA/PTO groups and sports teams that can collect gently worn and new athletic shoes for their fundraising campaigns.

Said Funds2Org founder and CEO Wayne Elsey: “We are launching Sneakers4Funds in a big way — with the 30-Day Strive4Good Challenge. Schools and other sponsors who decide to do an athletic shoe-drive fundraiser can nearly double the money Sneakers4Funds will pay them for the athletic shoes they collect. And, as we do with Funds2Orgs, the shoes collected help micro-business owners in 25 developing nations around the world. Athletic shoes are the mode of transportation in developing nations.”

Elsey went on to explain that “due to the incredible amount of experience we have working with schools and school groups across the country, we are excellently positioned to serve this market. Our experience shows us that educational institutions and youth groups can do well in fundraising by gathering gently worn and new athletic shoes.”

Recently, Funds2Orgs further expanded its reach with the December 2015 acquisition of Shoes With Heart, a shoe-drive fundraising organization based in California. Elsey said there are plans to create Sneakers With Heart, a companion group focused on sneaker drives.
