Following the successful release of the first collaboration between Extra Butter and Diadora, the New York-based retailer is once again teaming up with the brand for another Made in Italy collaboration.
This time around, Extra Butter continued its film-centered creative theme and drew inspiration from Italian Giallo films. Meaning yellow in Italian, the term Giallo refers to a particular style of Italian-made murder-mystery films. This thriller genre peaked in popularity during the 1970s, thanks to director Dario Argento.
Extra Butter works with the vaunted N9000. Color details include persimmon, sangria and blood red, all on a mix of premium suede and leather that both feature micro-perforated detailing.
The Diadora “Giallo” N9000 will be released at both Extra Butter locations (Manhattan and Long Island) on Saturday at 11 a.m. EDT and online at noon. The special edition sneakers retail for $200.

Extra Butter originally teamed up with Diadora in January for a collaboration design of the heritage model — Titan II. The sneakers feature Diadora’s premium made-in-Italy craftsmanship and from that came the inspiration from Italian cinema and spaghetti Westerns.
