Boxer Dusty Hernandez-Harrison defeated Thomas LaManna for the USBA Welterweight championship on Sept. 15 in Philadelphia.
During an action-packed bout, which aired on the CBS Sports Network, the Fila-sponsored fighter won a unanimous decision to improve his record to 30-0-1 and claim the title.
Hernandez-Harrison, who was signed by Fila earlier this year, wore the brand’s BX-100 boxing shoe.
According to Fila, the shoes, which were created in a navy and white colorway, were made exclusively for the fighter. In addition, Hernandez-Harrison’s shorts and entrance robe took style cues from Fila-signed tennis players in the 1970s.

“Dusty represents a new chapter in our storied lineage in the sport of boxing, allowing us to re-enter the squared circle for the first time in 22 years,” Jon Epstein, president of Fila North America, said in a statement earlier this year when the brand signed the fighter. “At only 21, with a record of 29-0, Dusty is undoubtedly a unique talent, but it is his character and his personal values that earn him a place in any conversation about the next great athlete for the Fila brand.”
Hernandez-Harrison rose to prominence in the sport after appearing earlier this year on HBO’s “24/7: Canelo-Khan” as a sparring partner of Canelo Alvarez.
