Creative Recreation’s spring 2016 collection will drop Dec. 7. It’s the first collection since the return of the brand’s original co-founder and creative director Rich Cofinco.
Last June, Cofinco told Footwear News that in his second stint with the company, he plans to integrate new technology into the product lines, evident in the use of Vibram outsoles on the Deross and Dragna styles.

Other styles include the Scopo, which features an oversized front strap, and the Nitti, a fashion-inspired court shoe.
The brand is emphasizing its intention to re-create the label’s legacy with this collection. Cofinco told FN he wanted to part with the brand’s association with the midsole strap, which he felt had become mainstream.

“…So how do you stand out from a market that has mid-straps everywhere? I want to challenge myself on what can be that new DNA for the brand,” he said. “The strap was embraced, but we’re beyond that and have to prove that.”
The spring collection will be available online and at select global retailers on Dec. 7.
