What’s Buzzing on Social Media at Sneaker Con Atlanta

It’s no wonder why Sneaker Con is dubbed the “greatest sneaker show on Earth.”

The Sept. 17 event united sneakerheads and featured around 100,000 pairs of enviable kicks at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta.

Sneaker Con attracted visitors keen on buying and selling rare and exclusive sneakers, as well as vendors that specialize in customization and footwear accessories.

Here, we look at what was buzzing on social media during the extravaganza.

Taking to Instagram, user Delvne echoed comments from his fellow sneaker vendors: “Me doing what I love the most… come see me at sneakercon.” He showcased new and vintage styles, including Pharrell’s Adidas NMD “Human Race” sneakers and retro Jordans.

Similarly, vendor Jelani Sanders teased his collection of kicks on sale. “Come shop with us — size 11s to 13s,” he said in the video, highlighting styles from Nike and Brand Jordan.

Meanwhile, an artist for customizer SoleRehab showed off his skills on a high-top sneaker during the event. “I’m Doing Customs On Spot,” he shared on Instagram.

Retailer City Gear participated in the exhibition and offered attendees the opportunity to have photos of their shoes taken, as well as enter for a chance to win a pair of Air Jordan 12 Retro “Flu Game” sneakers.

“Atlanta don’t miss #SneakerCon today!” the store tweeted. “Get a shot of your kicks and enter in to a chance to win the flu game 12s.”
