After months of anticipation, Adidas Originals has announced the official release details for its latest collaboration with famed Japanese streetwear brand A Bathing Ape (aka Bape).
Consisting of sneakers and apparel, this Bape x Adidas Originals collab is highlighted by two colorways of the NMD, one of the lifestyle division’s most talked-about sneakers of 2016. Here, the old-meets-new running-inspired sneaker gets covered in Bape’s signature camouflage print in both green- and black-based patterns.
Between NMD devotees and Bape fanatics — two of the most passionate subsets in the sneaker and streetwear communities — this collaboration may very well end up being one of the quickest sellouts of the year.
The Bape x Adidas NMD sneakers will be accompanied by matching apparel including the Firebird Track Jacket and the ID96 Down Jacket ($280), the latter of which features Bape’s iconic full-zip closure and graphics.
Adidas Originals has confirmed that this collaboration will be arriving at select worldwide retailers on Nov. 26, followed by a launch in Western Europe on Dec. 22.
