Jordan Brand has a new iteration of the Air Jordan XXX on deck that is sure to capture the attention of ballers and sneakerheads alike, boasting a color palette similar to Michael Jordan’s jerseys during his time with the Chicago Bulls.
The Air Jordan XXX “Gym Red” arrives on Saturday and will retail for $200. The shoe will be available via SNKRS starting at 10 a.m. EDT.
The shoe features a predominantly gym red upper, with a gradient pattern starting with gym red and ending with black on the heel. The “XXX” on the heel — reminiscent of a basketball net — is a bold gym red and pops off its black backdrop. A similar gym-red-to-black gradient pattern consumes the midsole, and the shoe is completed with an icy translucent outsole.
One defining characteristic of the “Gym Red” iteration is the toe cap — created using a dotted process printing technique designed by Mark Smith — is gym red with a black tint and boasts black Jumpman branding.
The shoe features all the same elements of previous colorways, including an asymmetrical top line with a knit collar, FlightSpeed technology from the Air Jordan XX9 for traction (with the phrase “Excellence is never second place” replacing a typical herringbone pattern), and an upper using a woven, knit and printed material mix.
