Social Media Reactions After Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Sneakers Are Sold Out

Sneakerheads took to social media today to share the agony and ecstasy surrounding Kanye West’s latest Adidas Yeezy release.

Reservations were made and Internet pages were refreshed, but by around 11:50 a.m. eager buyers got a rude awakening when the new Yeezy Boost 350 V2 was sold out on Adidas.com.

Naturally, reactions online and at some select retailers were salty and sweet.

Bone-chilling temperatures outside a Footlocker store in the Big Apple irked one lucky consumer who claimed to have already secured his pair through a raffle: “#footlocker MAKING US WAIT FOR HOURS OUTSIDE IN #NY WEATHER EVEN IF WE WON THE RAFFLE??Terrible #business #sneakerhead WHYS POINT OF RAFFLE?” the user tweeted.

But another person waiting outside the shop paid no mind to the weather. “Was in line and HAD to cop those @kanyewest #YEEZYBOOST350V2 from #footlocker NYC!!! It WAS LIKE A CONCERT!!!! This kid has it on lock!!” the sneakerhead captioned a video on Twitter.

Meanwhile, attempts to order online left some people crying foul.

“Got up early for nothing footlocker website crashes while trying to purchase the Yeezys smh #footlocker,” someone fired off on Twitter. Another user appeared to have some technical difficulties on a checkout webpage. “And it starts already ? @footlocker #YEEZYBOOST350V2 #YEEZYBOOST #footlocker,” he tweeted, attaching an image of HTML code on an e-commerce page.

Who says you can’t have it all? Taking to Instgram, a fan was delighted that she got a pair of the sneakers, plus the new Air Jordan 11 premium maroon velvet shoes that also debuted today ($220).
