Hollywood has crashed the so-called Nerd Prom.
Kicking off the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, Kendall Jenner made a chic appearance on the red carpet at the Washington Hilton in strappy black heels.
The model added sizzle to the look in a matching strapless Vivienne Westwood black gown and a blinding diamond necklace choker.
Jenner was invited to the annual event, dubbed the Nerd Prom, as a guest of USA Today. Previously, the reality star participated in a campaign for Rock the Vote.
Kerry Washington also opted for an all-black ensemble that included black Stuart Weitzman sandal heels and a one-shoulder gown with a ruffled skirt.
The “Scandal” actress was a guest of ABC News.
“Harry Potter” actress Emma Watson put her red bottoms on the red carpet in navy blue Christian Louboutin pumps. She completed the look with a floral Osman dress over navy blue pants.
“Black-ish” costars Tracee Ellis Ross and Anthony Anderson attended as guests of ABC News. Anderson sparkled in Gucci glitter sneakers with studs, available for $695.
Also guests of ABC News, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith cut elegant figures at the event. Pinkett told her fans on Facebook that her outfit honored the late singer Prince, writing, “A little purple tonight for the Prince who was king xo.”
The soiree included a roast of President Obama and his administration by Comedy Central’s Larry Wilmore. Media outlets bring a star-studded roster of guests to the annual soiree.
The White House Correspondents’ Dinner honors reporters who cover the White House. It is a Washington, D.C., tradition that began in 1920.
