British product design label Tom Dixon and luxury boutique Curve have collaborated on a new concept store.
The brands celebrated the opening of The Shop: Curve x Tom Dixon in Los Angeles on Wednesday, showcasing a space that fuses food, fashion and furnishing retail.

Designed and illuminated by Dixon, the 30,000-sq.-ft. indoor-outdoor venue presents Curve founder Nevena Borissova’s multilabel merchandise with theatrical flair.
Speaking to Footwear News, Dixon said the concept reflects “more of the way we live” than a typical retail space. “You have to have more interests in collaborations and work hard to get consumers into spaces to stay relevant.”
The shop features sculptural interior designs, raw columns and walls, with an industrial-sleek ambiance. Swish touches that are a favorite of Dixon include drum stools that are upholstered in organic sheep skin and a wingback chair in Raf Simons fabric.

Some of the footwear for sale features labels such as Alexander McQueen, Newbark, Rodarte, Ann Demeulemeester, Buscemi, Iro, Ungaro and Church’s.
Actors Kirsten Dunst and Terry Crews were among the guests who feted Dixon and Borissova at the kickoff celebration.
