Margot Robbie quickly garnered the attention of Hollywood and movie fans alike with her breakout role in 2013’s “The Wolf of Wall Street.” Since then, she has starred in “Focus,” “Whiskey Tango Foxtrot,” “The Legend of Tarzan” and “Suicide Squad.”
In “Squad,” which has grossed more than $700 million worldwide despite negative reviews, Robbie stars as DC Comics character and fan favorite Harley Quinn. Robbie isn’t quite done with that role: She recently signed a first-look deal with Warner Bros., the studio behind “Suicide Squad,” that includes a spinoff movie for her character.
Officially known as Dr. Harleen Frances Quinzel, Harley Quinn dresses in pair of statement shoes from Adidas by Jeremy Scott in the film.
The shoes from the designer and athletic company’s fall ’14 collection feature a 130 mm heel, laceups and the signature Adidas stripes. And with Harley Quinn expected to be one of the most sought-after Halloween costumes this year, fans are looking to get their hands on a pair of the actual shoes. The Adidas heeled boots, which originally retailed for $325, are sold out online.
Robbie stands out in “Suicide Squad,” sporting pink and blue pig tails, toting a baseball bat and wearing a shirt that says “Daddy’s Monster.” She also wears a jacket throughout the film that says “Property of Joker.” According to DC Comics, the character started as a sane psychiatrist who later went mad after meeting the Joker.
Be sure to check out Robbie as she hosts the “Saturday Night Live” season premiere on Oct. 1.
