Renzo Rosso continues to search for new talent to expand his OTB group.
Milanese accessories label Paula Cademartori, which offers luxury bags and shoes featuring feminine silhouettes and bright tones, is on the radar of the Breganze, Italy-based fashion group. “We confirm that as part of our regular scouting activity of interesting brands for the group we are evaluating some opportunities,” said an OTB spokeswoman, responding to a report in Italy’s financial newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore on Thursday that claimed the negotiations were at an advanced stage.
“I also confirm that nothing has been defined and signed yet,” she added.
OTB controls the Diesel, Maison Margiela, Marni and Viktor & Rolfbrands, as well as manufacturing arms Staff International and Brave Kid. The group closed 2015 with net profits down 36 percent to 3.5 million euros, or $3.8 million, from 5.5 million euros, or $7.3 million, in 2014. Revenues rose 1.9 percent to 1.59 billion euros, or $1.76 billion, compared with 1.56 billion euros, or $2 billion, in the previous year.
