Mr Porter has launched a 14-piece weatherproof shoe capsule in collaboration with three traditional gentlemen’s labels: John Lobb, O’Keeffe, and Tricker’s. There’s a luxury edit from John Lobb, a contemporary edit from O’Keeffe and a classic English edit from Tricker’s. Styles include hiking boots, Chelsea boots, monk straps and loafers.
Each shoe in the collection is designed to be winter-ready, with materials such as rubber Dainite and Commando soles that are both water-resistant and rugged — while remaining reassuringly formal. These pieces are designed for situations where even the hippest sneaker-boot style just doesn’t quite cut it.
“The modern man is becoming more receptive to the idea of building a seasonally relevant wardrobe, and looking at the hard-shoe category, there is a distinct lack of functional, weather-resistant options available,” notes Mr Porter shoe buyer David Morris. “I’m talking a pair of shoes that a customer who lives in London or New York City can wear with his suit on his daily commute during the winter.”
Styles from O’Keeffe and Tricker’s will be available exclusively on Mr Porter from Nov. 22, with styles from John Lobb launching throughout the season. Prices range from $417 to $1,394.
