Although it’s sold out, Carrano’s original style with back lace-up detail retailed for $1,195 at Bergdorf Goodman. Its new interpretation by Robertson, with multicolor paint splatters, is perhaps more admirable than wearable.
Robertson posted the photo today with the caption “excusemeiarted.”
Robertson is no stranger to adding his rainbow palettes onto shoes. Last July, he added quirky prints onto the Converse Chuck Taylor sneaker. He’s also worked with Carrano’s footwear before, reworking her Leonie bootie.
For the spring ’15 season, the artist also released a capsule collection with Brian Atwood that included lip-printed heels in a variety of heights, from single-sole stilettos to ultra-high platforms. You can find styles from the collection on The Outnet.
