With half of the men’s fall ’16 shows officially over and done with, stylish attendees must surely be running out of outfits to wear, right? Wrong. The latest batch of street styles from London and Florence proved that men are on board with the latest footwear trends, from statement sneakers to snazzy dress shoes.
At London Collections: Men and Pitti Uomo, sneakers again prevailed. We spotted a number of true athletic brands on the feet of stylish showgoers, from Nike Air Max to the classic Converse Chuck Taylor. Designer kicks also made an appearance via Rick Owens high-tops and Joshua Sanders patchwork slip-ons.

High-end styles straight from the runways also appeared on the streets. Louis Vuitton’s fall ’15 runway shoes, laceup boots with a contrasting flatform sole made their debut. Alexander McQueen’s thick-soled sneaker also showed up in a bright red (styled with all-black, natch).
Dressier styles offered a more subtle flourish. We saw suede laceup boots, tri-tone brogues and white leather derbies. Metallic laceless boots proved a riskier option.
