This week, FN’s sneaker columnist Stacey Griffith — an avid sneaker collector and senior master instructor at SoulCycle — opts for Givenchy kicks.
See her thoughts on the style below:
“It’s time for one of my sneaker favorites: the Givenchy Tyson high-top!
These floral-print sneakers dropped in 2014, so they may be hard to find, but the good news is the style is released in new color schemes every season. It’s definitely a staple in my books.
Since the launch of this shoe, it seems everyone wants to do their own version of a Velcro high-top. In my opinion, Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci is the Velcro master (aside from the original Nike Air Force One, of course).

A great way to snazz up this sneaker and make it your own? Pop on some brightly colored shoelaces and a matching hoodie of that color. The options are endless: bright pink, SoulCycle yellow.
I also see them being rocked with some light Pierre Balmain jeans, a solid-color T-shirt and matte Celine sunglasses. Talk about #springready.”
