Will we soon be seeing men teeter in their heels, too? In tandem with the genderless movement currently taking over the fashion scene, men’s heel heights are drastically on the rise this season — from leather ankle boots to lace-up oxfords.
Of course, one immediately thinks of Saint Laurent. The French fashion house has been elongating its men’s heels since Hedi Slimane came on board (Slimane is a huge wearer of the style himself). The Wyatt boot style is even one of its best-sellers now.

Luxury brands such as Christian Louboutin and Givenchy have followed suit. Haider Ackermann and Maison Margiela added Cuban heels onto their ankle boots.
For Laurence Dacade’s debut men’s collection, a variety of boot styles featured taller heel heights. “There was already a very strong connection between androgynous styles for women and men,” said Dacade. “I see my shoe collections as a family, so it was obviously time to launch a full men’s assortment.”

The key to wearing the style? First, confidence. But second, you’ll want to wear a slimmer jean or pant to keep the look current.
We envision them with a simple white tee and black denim. We’re going for a grungy rock vibe here (à la Harry Styles) — not ’70s disco platform.
