We’ve already rounded up women’s statement shoes for the holiday party circuit, but now it’s time for the gents. Men’s designers rolled out snazzy evening shoes this season, and they are the perfect way to add some punch to your party look.
While a classic black dress shoe — such as this buckled style by Bally — will always be mainstay for evening, we suggest experimenting with bolder styles for the holidays. It’s the one time of the year where you can really be bold without looking out of place.
If you want to err on the more classic side, look for subtle updates on classic dress styles. Santoni’s kiltie loafer, in a two-tone black and red leather, is very holiday appropriate. As is Salvatore Ferragamo’s velvet smoking slipper — very dapper.
Feeling more daring? Saint Laurent’s metallic ankle boot with slight heel would look amazing with a velvet or corduroy blazer. Jimmy Choo’s feathered high-top — yes, feathers — elevates the sneaker for evening.
