For fall ’16, a piquant mix of Spanish shoes shows the beauty and versatility of the country’s handcrafted tradition. And what better way to showcase them than with flamenco-style flair.
More and more brands are choosing to produce their shoes in Spain. Of course, Spanish luxury brand Loewe has always had its roots there. For fall, the label updated its recurring espadrille style in an embossed red leather.
L.K. Bennett — a brand that happens to be a Kate Middleton favorite — offered an eye-catching Mary Jane in all-over glitter. Pedro Garcia also shined through via its crystal mule sandal.

Emerging brands have also made Spanish footwear constructions its signature. J.J. Gray produces all of its leather riding boots in Spain. Margaux, a made-to-measure ballet flats brand, produces its regular sized styles in Spain (while custom sizes are finished in New York).
