Princess Beatrice of York, Model Amber Le-Bon and More Attend Intimate Jimmy Choo Cocktail

Jimmy Choo CEO Pierre Dennis was joined by Alice Naylor-Leyland and ambassador of the global charity DKMS Katharina Harf Wednesday evening to host an intimate cocktail in support of the charity, which is committed to fighting blood cancer.

The ongoing relationship established between the footwear label and DKMS has been somewhat of a family affair, with charity founder and ambassador Katharina Harf being the daughter of the Jimmy Choo’s nonexecutive chairman Peter Harf.

“I’m thankful to Jimmy Choo for holding the event; the funds raised will go toward registering more potential blood stem cell donors for blood cancer patients in need of a transplant,” said Katharina Harf, pointing that the institution is constantly working towards registering more donors and currently has more than 6.5 million donors worldwide, including 200,000 in the U.K.

VIP customers and friends from the hosts’ circles attended the event and shopped for charity, with crystal-embellished sneakers and boots from the new fall 2016 range seeming to fly off the shelves.

“This is the first time I work with Jimmy Choo on a charitable cause, but I think we powered through and had such a good turnout,” said Naylor-Leyland, who is working on the launch of her own footwear range in partnership with French Sole, following on the success of her first “Alice in Wonderland”-themed collection for the brand in January.

A number of Naylor-Leyland’s friends joined the event to support the cause, including Princess Beatrice of York, Kim Hersov and Amber Le-Bon.

“I wear a lot of Jimmy Choo, and I also know Alice so I’m here to support the cause. Alice and I went to school together, and we make each other feel old every time we meet,” said Le-Bon who has just returned from Paris from what she described as a “serene” fashion month. She was sporting her signature pink hair: “I colored it for a shoot with Redken at the beginning of the year and I love it so I’m sticking with it. I’m also continuing to work with Redken on different projects, so hopefully that will last for a while.”
