Google has released its annual “Year in Search” report, which highlights what people worldwide looked for most on the search engine.
It includes people, places, sports, food, entertainment and much more. One highlight was the most-searched fashion designers category. Rachel Roy topped the list, likely not for her designs but more for her suspected identity as “Becky with the good hair” in the Beyoncé song “Sorry,” which hints at her husband Jay Z’s infidelity.
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Zendaya, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Sonia Rykiel, Ivanka Trump, Beyoncé and Kanye West also made the list. Footwear News honored Zendaya with the Launch of the Year Award at the FN Achievement Awards on Nov. 29 for her label, Daya by Zendaya.
West continues to enjoy huge success with his Yeezy line; the next release of a Yeezy shoe with Adidas is scheduled for Saturday. The Olsen twins remain largely out of the spotlight as they continue to build their successful fashion lines, Elizabeth & James and The Row.
Beyoncé made waves this year not only with her visual album, “Lemonade,” but also with her athleisure fashion line called Ivy Park.
