Giuseppe Zanotti is adding some glitz to men’s wardrobes. The designer’s spring ’17 collection featured a number of styles embellished with crystals, proving the glam rock trend isn’t going anywhere soon.
Double-strap slide sandals, smoking slippers and low-top sneakers were infused with the glitzy crystals. The update here was many of the styles were meant for day (though they could easily, and more appropriately, be worn at night).
“I designed the collection for a man who doesn’t follow any rules,” said Zanotti. “I like to always experiment when it comes to men’s collections. This season I worked with classic and traditional materials interpreted in a very innovative way.”
New silhouettes included a mule sneaker in black and beige. It felt fresh and offered men an easy slip-on-and-go option for summer.
Sneakers in washed canvas and denim, think red and blue hues, also felt new for Zanotti, who loves to dabble in black. Though there was plenty of black. Sneakers had mini grommets which was a continuation of the larger ones seen last season.
