After spending the last few years focusing on his luxury line, Eugene Riconneaus is taking a new turn with his skateboarding-centric launch: Undun.
The collection will launch during Paris Fashion Week.
“Skateboarding is more than just a hobby. For me, it’s a lifestyle. I have always been living like a skater,” the designer said. “I grew up between two cultures, skateboarding and shoe making, and I have always been inspired by skateboarding in my main line.”
Still, the new collection allows him to venture into new territory and he wanted to craft a skate shoe that would have longevity. “The constant flow of new models flooding the market prioritizes the release date over the shoe in itself,” Riconneaus explained. “Undun’s mission is crafting shoes that will go farther than any release date or trend. We want to create a long-term relationship with collections and customers.”
Several skateboarders are working with the designer on the new launch, and a team will be unveiled soon.
Meanwhile, the designer is also prepping to unveil his namesake luxury line in Paris. The collection features new styles and groups with lower heels, sporty stretch boots and sneakers.
