There to support the former Spice Girl were husband David Beckham and their son, Brooklyn. The two sat on the front row next to Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
Later that evening, Beckham and her family trekked to Brooklyn, N.Y., for a private party. In her signature all-black style, Beckham opted for black leather Casadei pumps. Brooklyn, in all-black converse, was on hand to escort her out of the restaurant wearing a more casual look compared to his outfit at the fashion show.
The brand’s Blade heel is a favorite of hers, and she is often seen sporting the same style. In June 2015, Footwear News caught up with Cesare Casadei — the designer responsible for the Blade — telling us that the style is the brand’s best-seller. “We keep reinventing it each season, in various colors and heel heights,” he said.
For spring ’17, Casadei has been inspired by 1980s glam, “infused with a sophisticated and contemporary aesthetic,” he said in a recent interview with FN. “For our new Bustier sandal, I drew inspiration from Steven Meisel’s portrait of Linda Evangelista holding a bustier,” Casadei added. “The result is the knee-high gladiator sandal in a monochrome nude tone, with laser-cut nappa leather straps.”
Beckham will be happy to hear that the label will likely introduce new interpretations of its iconic Blade heel for spring, a style that has been very successful with celebrities.
