Melania Trump is headed to the White House next month, and as the next first lady, all eyes will be on her wardrobe. While the former model may seem to be in the crosshairs on whether certain designers will dress her or not, one thing is for certain: She loves Christian Louboutin.
Throughout the entire 2016 campaign trail, Trump’s attire has been sleek and chic. She’s worn a variety of labels, such as Ralph Lauren, Gucci, Michael Kors and Balmain. But for the majority of appearances, she’s been spotted in the red-bottomed shoes.
Here, Footwear News looks back at the significant times Trump has donned Christian Louboutin Heels.
In July, President-elect Donald Trump’s wife opted for the nude Christian Louboutin Pigalle pumps with a nearly 5-inch heel at the Republican National Convention. There, she was harshly criticized after she was accused of lifting portions of her speech from first lady Michelle Obama’s speech at the Democratic National Convention in 2008.
Most recently, Trump made an appearance with the rest of her family, including her husband, during the first televised interview following the election outcome.
She chose a pair of nude patent leather Christian Louboutin So Kate heels for the anticipated “60 Minutes” interview. Her So Kate pumps featured a pointed toe silhouette and a 4.75-inch stiletto heel, retailing for $675. “I will stay true to myself,” she said of her role as the next first lady during the interview.
Trump last month marked her first trip to the White House by wearing Christian Louboutin yet again. This time, she chose black Louboutins as she visited Obama for a meeting, while her husband and President Barack Obama met for the first time. She also brought her Louboutins along to Capitol Hill that same day.
On election night, Melania opted for a Ralph Lauren white jumpsuit, which WWD reported that she bought at the brand’s New York City Madison Avenue boutique. She paired it with nude Christian Louboutin pumps as she took the stage for Donald Trump’s victory speech.
And on Election Day, she made her way to the voting booth in New York City wearing another pair of Louboutin heels. She walked into the Manhattan polling station on the Upper East Side with her husband.
