Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid will have a sweet sister moment come Dec. 5. The two models are officially walking in the 2016 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, which will be at the Grand Palais in Paris for the first time.
Bella will be making her Victoria’s Secret runway debut, while Gigi hits the catwalk for the second time.
Bella made the announcement on Instagram, posting, “What a dream come true. I feel so appreciative and excited! Thank you for this opportunity to walk next to some of the most inspiring and incredible women in the world!”
Recent Stuart Weitzman collaborator Gigi made headlines last year after her emotional reaction to hearing the news that she was chosen to walk in the 2015 VS runway show hit social media.
This year, she’s more grateful than ever. “There is no feeling in the world like walking down this runway,” she wrote on Instagram. “Thank you @ed_razek for putting on the show that has been one of my greatest motivators since I was a teenage fan of the Angels, and for making this dream come true for me again. It will forever be an honor.”

There is no feeling in the world like walking down this runway. I'm elated to say I'll be returning to the @VictoriasSecret Fashion Show this year. Thank you @ed_razek for putting on the show that has been one of my greatest motivators since I was a teenage fan of the Angels, and for making this dream come true for me again. It will forever be an honor. Can't wait to join the surreally beautiful and inspiring women that are the #vsfs2016 lineup. See you in Paris ❤️❤️😇👠‼️
The Hadid sisters will join Kendall Jenner, Karlie Kloss, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Lily Aldridge and Irina Shayk in Paris.
Last year, the show’s 20th anniversary event took place in New York City, featuring shoes designed by Brian Atwood.
When Footwear News caught up with Atwood backstage, he said, “This is like the Super Bowl of fashion shows. And I know these girls can walk on anything. I heard they made wings just because of the shoes. I was chatting with [Victoria’s Secret Creative Director] Sophia [Neophitou], and she said, ‘Do you realize we made wings based on the shoes?'”
In 2014, British designers Nicholas Kirkwood and Sophia Webster created custom designs for the London show. Kirkwood also designed shoes for the 2013 and 2012 shows.
Stay tuned as we wait to see who will be designing this year’s footwear. Perhaps Christian Louboutin?
