Only Serena Williams could safely manage to do tasks around her house while wearing very high platform sandals.
The tennis star took to Snapchat on Sunday to document some trouble she was having reaching a wire above her kitchen cabinets. She couldn’t quite get up there, so she went into her closet and pulled out a pair of Alaïa platforms that have heels measuring several inches tall.
With the heels on, Williams climbed onto her kitchen counter and was able to reach the elusive wire. Still, she wrote that she needs to get higher heels.

“So I survived. I forgot I’m a world-class athlete and can do anything in 8-inch heels,” she joked.
Williams, who turns 35 today, was in Milan last week attending several fashion shows including Gucci, Versace and Giorgio Armani.
