The “Work” singer made headlines at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala in 2015 when she arrived in her eye-catching, handmade Guo Pei Couture yellow gown, which she found online, with Christian Louboutin fall ’15 Toerless Muse strappy shoes.
Soon after Rihanna’s memorable Met Gala appearance, the Louboutin Toerless Muse shoes became a red carpet go-to. Actress Amanda Seyfried opted for the triple T-strap pumps for the premiere of “Ted 2” in Los Angeles, and model Kendall Jenner chose the same style for the 2015 Fragrance Foundation Awards.
Three years prior, Rihanna arrived in a floor-length Tom Ford gown paired with classic black patent Christian Louboutin pumps for the 2012 Met Gala, which paid tribute to the influence designer Elsa Schiaparelli had on Prada.
Louboutin was chosen once again for the 2011 Costume Institute’s theme, “Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty.” The singer opted for Christian Louboutin strappy sandals paired with a one-shoulder Stella McCartney dress.
It’s not known whether Rihanna will be there on the first Monday of May this year, but we can confirm that she has a day off from her Anti World Tour on May 2. If she does show up on the Met steps in New York, it will for sure be a statement as this year’s theme is “Manus x Machina.” Perhaps she will don shoe looks from her Puma collection or maybe even her Manolo Blahnik collaboration?
