‘Tis the season for staying warm — and Prince Harry’s girlfriend Meghan Markle knows exactly what to do.
The “Suits” actress rocked a pair of wool-lined Ugg moccasins on Saturday and made certain to keep her rescue dog comfortable, too, by wrapping her beagle mix Guy in a sweater.
“For the love of hand-me-downs. This was Bogart’s sweater when he was a puppy, and now it’s keeping Guy warm. #puppylove #adoptdontshop#reducereuserecycle,” the TV star captioned an Instagram photo of her footwear and the dog’s warm ensemble.
Markle had on Ugg’s Dakota moccasin shoes that feature a water-resistant suede upper and a natural wool interior. Design details include fixed leather laces and bows, and a rubber sole for outdoor use. The shoes retail for $100 on the brand’s website.
Quashing any rumors that her dog’s sweater — which featured the British Union Jack flag — wasn’t a gift from her beau Prince Harry, she emphasized that it’s a “hand-me-down” outfit from her other dog Bogart.
Markle has been filming Season 6 of her USA Network series “Suits” in Toronto while Prince Harry has been fulfilling his royal duties representing Queen Elizabeth II. He recently participated in a royal tour of the Caribbean, which included a stop Thursday in Barbados, where he and Rihanna — who hails from the island — took HIV tests to highlight World AIDS Day.
Prince Harry returns to England today and reportedly has a romantic reunion with Markle in the works, according to Us Weekly.
“It will be a one-week trip,” a source revealed of the forthcoming vacation. “There are just a few details left to finalize.”
Indeed, distance does make the heart grow fonder. The 35-year-old actress and the 32-year-old royal have been secretly dating seriously for around two months, according to People.
In November, Markle attempted to keep a low profile in London while spending a week at Prince Harry’s residence at Kensington Palace, but she was spotted wearing Hunter boots on an outing.
