Nicki Minaj made an appearance Wednesday on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” wearing Christian Louboutin lace-up sandals. The gladiator-like shoes made for quite the style statement.
While on the show, the rapper talked about her role in the film “Barbershop: The Next Cut” and working with co-star Ice Cube. “The script is so smart. It’s the only reason [why] I agreed to do the movie because I’ve gotten scripts before,” she told DeGeneres. The latest “Barbershop” film is only Minaj’s second movie, but she says the dream would be to do more.
Later on that evening, Minaj wore the same Louboutin sandals to the premiere of “Barbershop: The Next Cut” in Los Angeles.
Last fall, it was announced that Minaj will star in and executive-produce a comedy series on ABC Family, now called Freeform, based on her life. She began filming this winter. The show will focus on her move to the U.S. from Trinidad and Tobago when she was a young girl and growing up in Queens, N.Y.
