Among supermodels, Naomi Campbell is the catwalk queen.
The icon was honored for her influence in the fashion industry with the Model of the Century award on Thursday in Berlin at the German GQ Men of the Year Awards.

The 46-year-old arrived in glamorous form alongside designer Philipp Plein. Cutting a chic figure in head-to-toe black, Campbell hit the red carpet in a pair of Plein’s caged sandals that featured rhinestones and a nearly 5-inch heel. She teamed the footwear with an asymmetrical floor-length gown that had a high slit and embellishments around the bust line.

Campbell, who started modeling at age 15, was both an honoree and presenter. She gave a heartwarming introduction for her friend Plein, who was named GQ Germany’s Fashion Designer of the Year.
“Ambitious, charming and still so very young — and he’s made in Germany,” she said of the 38-year-old. “Conquering the world, and there’s so much more to come for this young man tonight.”

Campbell handed Plein the award and waved to his mother, who was in the crowd.
Taking to Instagram, Campbell shared a photo from the night, writing, “Well deserved wishing more success on your journey. Blessings.”
