Former Miss Universe Alicia Machado was glistening in gold.
Clad in a Herve Leger bandage dress and matching platform sandal heels, the beauty queen posed on the red carpet and served as a presenter on Saturday at the Metropolitan Fashion Week in Burbank, Calif.
The shoes featured an open toe, embossed upper and a towering stiletto heel.
“I love you all, I love you all — and thank you very much for all the people that are supporting me right now,” Machado told guests while onstage.
She has recently been engulfed in controversy after Hillary Clinton took Donald Trump to task for his insensitive remarks about Machado’s weight, branding her “Miss Piggy” in 1996 when she won the Miss Universe crown — a time when Trump was co-owner of the organization. The GOP nominee sold his interests in the Miss Universe, Miss USA and Miss Teen USA beauty pageants last year.
The event held on the Warner Bros. Studios lot celebrated some of the year’s most outstanding costume designers. Among the honorees, Thierry Mugler won the Live Performance category for his work on Cirque Du Soleil’s Zumanity, Tony Acosta Jr. won the Motion Pictures category for “Captain America: Civil War,” and Lou Eyrich won in the TV category for “American Horror Story: Hotel.”
