Michelle Obama is sticking with her favorite shoe brand, Jimmy Choo, for her overseas trip this week.
The first lady was in Marrakech, Morocco, on Tuesday to promote her Let Girls Learn initiative, which touts education for girls. She traveled to Morocco with daughters Malia and Sasha Obama, who also accompanied her to her first stop, Liberia, on Monday. Now the trio is off to Spain.
Michelle Obama arrived in Marrakech in a Proenza Schouler floral frock and Jimmy Choo “Mei” pointy-toe pumps. Later, she wore the shoe label’s “Esme” mesh and leather pumps with another floral ensemble to the Let Girls Learn conference.
There, she was joined by actresses Meryl Streep and Freida Pinto, who joined the first lady in a conversation with local women about opportunities and challenges. The Let Girls Learn initiative was founded by Michelle and Barack Obama in 2015.
Malia and Sasha joined their mom onstage in Liberia on Monday, but did not attend Tuesday’s event.
The first lady has chosen Choo for many overseas excursions, including during a recent trip to London to dine at Kensington Palace with Kate Middleton, Prince William and Prince Harry.
