First impressions count — so when Margot Robbie made her debut hosting “Saturday Night Live,” she got things off on the right foot. Both of them.
The Australian actress donned a pair of sleek Jimmy Choo heels on Saturday when she helped launch the 42nd season of the NBC sketch comedy series with a monologue.
The label’s Tilly pumps feature a patent leather upper, pointed-toe silhouette, a buckled halter slingback strap and a 3.5-inch heel.
She complemented the shoes with a sizzling black lace Alexander Wang dress.
Hosting the program’s season premiere gave Robbie an opportunity to showcase her comedic chops after winning fans over as the breakout star of this summer’s “Suicide Squad.” In the action film, she portrays Harley Quinn, a psychotic villain who wrecks havoc in Jeremy Scott x Adidas heels. The shoes from Scott’s 2014 collaboration with the sportswear brand includes a 130 mm heel and the signature Adidas stripes in a high-top boot silhouette.
Pop star The Weeknd was the night’s musical guest. While on the show, he participated in “The Weeknd Update” sketch and acknowledged with deadpan delivery his recent haircut.
The Grammy-winning artist was announced on Thursday as Puma’s new global brand ambassador and creative collaborator. Part of his deal includes his own collection of sneakers and apparel due next year that the brand describes as “a fusion of Puma’s sport-inspired designs and The Weeknd’s street-motivated aesthetics as seen in his label, XO.”
