Justin Bieber and Sofia Richie stepped out in style for an outing to a park in Tokyo on Saturday. Bieber wore a pair of Fear of God military boots from the brand’s spring ’16 collection, while Richie sported Adidas NMD City Sock sneakers. Bieber is in Japan for his Purpose World Tour.
The black colorway of the NMD City Sock dropped July 15 and quickly sold out. More NMDs are set to release on Thursday, and the new NMD_XR1 silhouette will make its debut in September. Bieber is a fan of the Adidas City Sock sneaker too, having worn a pair in the white colorway on a previous outing.
Bieber and his stylist Karla Welch tapped Fear of God designer Jerry Lorenzo to create his wardrobe for his Purpose World Tour. The brand also helped design the tour’s merchandise.
Speaking to Footwear News in a previous interview, Adidas’ Traci Morlan, global director of entertainment and influencer marketing, said that since partnering with Bieber in 2013, he has “brought a new level of followers to the Neo social channels.”
“He is becoming a style icon. Whether he posts an onstage pic in the Adidas Ultra Boost or a pic of him playing ‘Pokemon Go’ in his white Adidas Originals NMDs, he has an enormous influence on his followers, which enhances the demand and coveted reputation of both these models.”
