Italian lifestyle brand Bruno Magli, which is celebrating its 80th anniversary this year, was in the fashion spotlight last night at the 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards.
Liev Schreiber walked the red carpet in a pair of the heritage brand’s classic looks — the Werter laceups. The timeless look is likely to make a repeat appearance at the upcoming 88th Academy Awards.
Schreiber opted for the opposite end of the shoe spectrum from actor Denis O’Hare of “American Horror Story: Hotel,” who made a delightfully unexpected statement in a gorgeous pair of Christian Louboutin platform sandals.
Schreiber wasn’t the only one playing it safe when it came to his footwear. Golden Globes presenter Chris Evans wore black patent leather laceups from American footwear brand Johnston & Murphy’s formal collection.
Of course, there are always A-listers, such as Jason Sudeikis and Alan Cumming, who can’t seem to leave their sneakers behind.
