Maisie Williams’ Christian Louboutin Sandals Deserve a Closer Look

For the Primetime Emmy Awards on Sept. 18, Maisie Williams looked to designer Markus Lupfer, who created a custom floral-embroidered dress for the actress. The whimsical look called for a fanciful pair of shoes to match, so the “Game of Thrones” star and her stylist Harriet Byczok chose a pair of Christian Louboutin sandals that at first look to be nothing more than a typical strappy pair. But when Williams turned to the side, the shoes’ dramatic chiffon trim on the heel was visible.

The sandals, which retail for $1,095, have a cone-shaped heel and of course, Louboutin’s signature red sole. Williams wasn’t the only star to choose Louboutin for the red carpet. Fellow “Game of Thrones” star Sophie Turner also wore a pair, as did actor Rami Malek and TV personality Renee Bargh.

For the HBO after-party, Williams changed into a geometric Alexander Lewis top and skirt, paired with Sophia Webster’s Rosalind sandals.
