Celebrities are embracing the return of platforms. With the recent sightings on Emily Ratajkowski, Olivia Wilde and Lady Gaga, stars are making a statement in Brian Atwood‘s Tribeca platform.
At the Met Gala on May 2, a slew of celebrities including Allison Williams, Anna Kendrick, Michelle Monaghan, Riley Keough and more wore the Tribecas for some added height under their gowns.
While we may not have been able to see the platforms on the red carpet, Olivia Wilde and Emily Ratajkowski wore their pairs for after-parties with sexy dresses.
Lady Gaga wore a custom ultra-high pair of Tribecas to celebrate her 30th birthday in March.
In February, there were some stunning shoe moments at the Vanity Fair after-party, where both Hudson and Alba revealed their Atwood platform styles in shades of gold.
Red-carpet events last year from the People’s Choice Awards to the Billboard Music Awards also brought Atwood platform-shoe sightings, on Taylor Swift and Hudson yet again.
While Atwood is known for dressing the celebrity set, don’t expect all platforms, all the time. In fact, the designer told FN recently that for fall ’16, he’s including a wider variety of heights.
“We have a lot of thicker heels, which is great for urban living,” said Atwood. “Some shearling booties and sandals, and you can wear them with cashmere stockings.”
