This week, FN sneaker columnist Stacey Griffith — senior master instructor at SoulCycle and avid sneakerhead — goes for Brunello Cucinelli kicks. See her thoughts on the style below:
“This sneaker, the galvanized Monili runner, is the first black running shoe from Brunello Cucinelli. It’s available for purchase in mono-brand stores. The silk taffeta and suede are what made me pick this sneaker off the showroom wall. It’s the most gorgeous running shoe I have ever seen. I mean, are you kidding with the ultra-black Monili toe?
“The new technical runner sole is apparently a first the brand’s spring ’16 collection. It was created exclusively by Vibram.
“For the person who has everything, this is your two-in-one sneaker. It crosses over into night time with a nice pair of crisp white jeans. Plus, I’m not joking here: You will get stopped in every elevator. People will ask, ‘Who makes those sneakers???’
“You’ll have to save your gift cards guys for these, though — this is a big purchase coming in at $1,375.”
