Fashion’s Super Bowl kicks off tonight at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York with the annual Met Gala, hosted by Conde Nast heavy-hitter Anna Wintour and superstar Taylor Swift. The buzziest faces in the top fashions will most certainly be on hand to celebrate the museum.
The party is the celebration of the Costume Institute’s the “Manus x Machina” exhibit, which explores the sometimes-competitive, sometimes-symbiotic relationship between handwork and technology in fashion. The exhibition opens to the public on Thursday, with member previews happening Tuesday and Wednesday.
Earnings Watch: Weyco, Kate Spade, Iconix, Adidas, Sequential
Earnings season continues. Management firms Iconix Brand Group and Sequential Brands Group report earnings this week on Thursday, and eyes are on Iconix after a tumultuous 2015 and what the turnaround for the firm will look like. Adidas reports earnings overnight in the U.S. on Wednesday.

Edgardo Osorio’s feminine line of sweet and sexy shoes hits New York this week with the Thursday opening of his Madison Avenue boutique. The store, located at 935 Madison Ave., joins stores already open in Italy and London.
