Sam Edelman Opens First Store in Texas

Sam Edelman has been on a store-opening spree. Earlier this month, the New York-based footwear brand debuted a shop in the Aventura Mall in Miami, and in April, it launched a new location in Boston’s Prudential Center.

Its latest retail venture is in NorthPark Center in Dallas — marking its first branded location into Texas.

“NorthPark Center offers an unparalleled luxury shopping experience and is the ideal location for our first store in Texas,” said the brand’s namesake founder and designer, Sam Edelman.

The 2,773-sq.-ft. shop opened for business on Friday and offers the full Sam Edelman assortment, including shoes, handbags and accessories. The space was designed by Dagnall Folger of Architecture + Information and adheres to the brand aesthetic with a mix of materials such as reclaimed wood and raw concrete.

The store also features hints of the label’s signature shade of green, which shows up as a pop of color in unexpected places. And to give the space a personal touch, Edelman himself curated the store’s selection of vintage furniture pieces.

With this latest opening, the Edelman brand, which is a division of St. Louis-based Caleres Inc., now has a total of 11 branded retail locations throughout the country.
