Gillian Meek is stepping into the role of president at Keds. The executive, who formerly served as SVP of product and marketing for the Stride Rite Children’s Group, will take over the post Monday.

Meek, who also worked at Reebok and Timberland before joining Wolverine World Wide, will take over for Richie Woodworth, who has been acting as interim president since Chris Lindner’s departure earlier this summer.

“I’m incredibly excited to promote Gillian for this critical position,” said Woodworth, president of the Wolverine World Wide Boston Group, in a statement. “She has shown nothing but dedication to our organization and has given life to our vision and values. She personally manifests Keds’ mission of empowering and championing others to blaze their own trails to success.”

Keds is celebrating its 100th anniversary with its “Ladies First” campaign. Meek, who is a member of Women in Footwear Industry (WIFI), joins fellow female executives at the Keds team — CMO Emily Culp, VP of Sales Elaine Dalton and VP of Product Holly Curtis.
