In the spot, Vandenberg is a millenial who is celebrating the holiday season as an adult, experiencing a lot of firsts on her own, such as decorating, wrapping and cooking. The video is shoppable and the product featured is also available on the brand’s website.
The first chapter focuses on decorating, and when Vandenberg says “I think I’m missing everything” about her tree, she proceeds to place Rebecca Minkoff accessories, such as a cellphone case, on the tree. During the second chapter, about wrapping, she showcases several Rebecca Minkoff purses. “I have two of these purses. This one looks good on me, so I’m going to keep it,” said Vandenberg.
Then, during the chapter about presents, Minkoff herself makes an appearance in the video, making a frustrated face after she gets a siracha themed gift. “You said you liked hot sauce,” said Vandenberg.
The brand is also launching “survival guides” for the campaign. These are featured in the video and will also appear on the website throughout the holiday season. The survival guides include Shopping (Mini Mac image), Gift Wrapping (sweater + Vanity saddle image) and NYE (Leo Clutch).
